We performed our Class Assembly today, the first of December, to all of K2. Our theme was Christmas presents. We thought about what we had received in previous years. Were they small gifts or large ones? Were they wrapped or not? Were they the presents you had asked for? Were they really special gifts?
We then went on to think about the first Christmas present ever, Jesus. We reminded everyone that he was the real reason we celebrated Christmas, because without Him we would not have Christmas. We asked everyone to think about Jesus when they were unwrapping their presents on Christmas day and to remember to thank Him for being in our lives.
Merry Christmas to you all from Mrs. Wilson and everyone in P5 Room 22.
We have been doing a lot of work on graphs these past weeks. Our final task was to produce one on our favourite fruit using the computer. We worked in pairs and if we got stuck our friends, plus Carrie and Mrs. Wilson, gave us advice to make sure we understood the process. We had to make up our own questions which was challenging but we were successful.
On Wednesday (8/11/17) we attempted our first maths challenge. We were given cards that had clues to help us work out answers so we could eventually compile a bar graph. We found out how important it is to be organised so we could find the first clue which then guided us to the next clue which lead on to the third clue until we gradually worked out all the clues. We enjoyed it a lot. We are looking forward to our next challenge.
Welcome to Room 22. As you can see we have started our first topic, "Mighty Me!" We are learning all about the skeleton and how it works. We have also discovered how unique we are. We were all given the same instructions on how to create a painting but they all turned out to be completely different!
Some of us took part in the "Bling Your Bike To School Day". Do you have a favourite?
We have shown you some of the displays in our room. They will change as the school year progresses. Keep checking our page so you can keep up to date. Bye for now.
