P3 3.00pm Finish
Fri 23 Oct 2015To: Parents of P3 Children
P3 children will remain in school until 3.00pm each Monday and Wednesday from Monday 23rd November 2015. This will help prepare the pupils for staying to 3.00pm in P4.
On Mondays and Wednesdays P3 children will have a break in the middle of the afternoon. Please send an additional healthy snack on these days.

P6 Special Assembly (RNLI)
Tue 20 Oct 2015We were delighted to present a cheque to RNLI this morning for a superb £4,887.11! There is still sponsor money coming in which will bring the total to over £5,000 - a wonderful effort by all pupils.
Well done also to our P6 pupils and staff who led a very special Assembly this morning prior to the cheque presentation - it was a joy to watch!

School Photographs
Tue 20 Oct 2015These will be taken by Cool For School Photography on Monday 2nd and Tuesday 3rd November.
Order forms will be sent home week commencing 9th November. Parents may order online, or by return of order form and money in a sealed envelope to school.
All pupils will have individual photos taken. If you wish for your children to have family photos taken in addition to an individual picture, please inform class teachers by Monday 2nd November. If children are not siblings, consent must be given by both families.

School Charity 2015
Our pupils are enjoying their sponsored events. We would ask parents to return sponsor forms and money by Friday 16th October, as we will be presenting our cheque to a representative from RNLI next Tuesday 20th October. Many thanks for your support.
Primary One 2016
Forms for next year's P1 intake will be available from the school office during the first week in December. Our Open Afternoon for prospective parents will be held on Tuesday 1st December at 3.15pm.
Half-Term Holiday (Thursday 22nd October - Friday 30th October)
School will finish at 2.00pm for all pupils on Wednesday 21st October.
In order to ease traffic congestion, a staggered system will be in place.
1.50pm - P4-P7 pupils will be escorted to the door by their teacher.
P1-P7 children who are getting the bus will be escorted to the bus stop.
2.00pm - P1-P3 pupils will come to the school door as usual with their teacher.
Crossing patrols will be in place.
Classes will resume on Monday 2nd November. Wishing you all a restful half term break.

P6 Charity Assembly
Tue 13 Oct 2015Our annual Charity Assembly will take place next Tuesday 20th October.
P6 classes will lead the Assembly, with a cheque being presented to RNLI on the day.
Pupils will repeat the Assembly at 11.00am for those parents who are able to attend.

Apple Pie Afternoon

Apple Pie and Ice Cream
We are delighted to host our ever-popular Apple Pie afternoon for parents and children on Wednesday 14th October when apple pie and ice-cream/custard, tea and coffee will be served in the School Hall at home times. The cost will be £2.00 per person, or 50p for ice-cream or a cookie if preferred, payable on the day.
P1 – P3 Children and Parents From 2.05 pm
P4 – P7 Children and Parents From 3.05 pm
If you would like to attend, please could you indicate your interest by informing your child’s teacher by Friday 9th October. Due to the popularity of this event it is important that we have a good idea of numbers in advance. Those who show up on spec may have to wait to be seated.
Please note that children attending should be accompanied by and remain under the supervision of an adult.

After 23 very successful years as Principal of Steeple Nursery School, Mrs Helen Suiter will be retiring at the end of October 2015. If your child(ren) attended Steeple Nursery and you would like to make a contribution towards a gift for Mrs Suiter, you are welcome to leave it in Antrim Primary School office on or before Friday 16th October.
