  • FOOTBALL

    Well done to all the boys and girls who took part in the Regional Qualifiers at Antrim Forum.  The girls' team played some excellent football and reached the semi-final.  The boys' team were undefeated in their group and progressed to the final.  Against a very tough Kingspark PS, the boys won 2-0 and have now qualified for the NI Finals in April. 
  • HOCKEY

    Well done to all our hockey players who took part in the Ulster Qualifiers at Ballymena Academy this week.  The children braved the elements and played some fantastic hockey.  Congratulations to the boys' squad Oliver Coggins, Owen Colhoun, Jason Hefferon, Adam Hunter, Charlie Martin, Jack McCombe, Shay McCullough, Freddie Thornton and Euan Roberts who were undefeated and now qualify to the Ulster Hockey Finals in April.
  • WOODEN SPOON COMPETITION WINNERS

    Congratulations to all our competition winners, P1 Josephine McKay-Dunne, P2 Leah Clarke, P3 Alexandra Owen, P4 Elsa Woolley, P5 Cyrus Gordon, P6 Emily Wray and P7 Alannah Connolly.  All children were presented with their prizes in assembly today.

  • COMIC RELIEF 2019

    We raised a fantastic £499.90 for Comic Relief with our Dress in Red day. A big thank you to everyone who took part and donated.
  • LIZ WEIR MBE - STORYTELLER AND CHILDRENS AUTHOR

    On Monday Liz Weir, author of books such as Boom Chicka Boom and Here, There and Everywhere came to our school library to tell some of the stories she has written.

    The boys and girls from P3-P5 thoroughly enjoyed listening and interacting with Liz. She recounted some of her tales in her own inimitable way.

    Liz has written a collection of folk tales from different countries around the world and is an advocate for encouraging and promoting the skills of communication and language acquisition in children

    We all hope that she will return to our school as she is a talented raconteur and we would love to hear her again!

  • THE GATHERING DRUM

    The pupils in Room 7 had the opportunity to try out a few different types of drums including steel drums and djembe which are a popular hand drum from West Africa. They all had a great time and made lots of noise!!

    Thank you to everyone who took part in Word Book Day on Thursday. A  great day was had by everyone, a big thank you to all for participating.

    We have had a fantastic response to our World Book Day competition in school. The spoons have all been vey creatively decorated in a wide range of different Julia Donaldson characters. There has been a lot of time and effort put into these all by the children. Keep an eye out  to the see the winning entries.
