  • SCHOOL ORCHESTRA

    Mon 03 Dec 2018

On Wednesday 28th November our school orchestra had a workshop with senior music students from Ballymena Academy.  Mrs Church, head of music, brought arrangements of Perfect by Ed Sheeran, The Hallelujah Chorus with Beethoven's Ode to Joy and Jingle Bell Boogie for us to play.  We also spent part of the morning rehearsing our music for the school Carol Service.

We had 3 conductors throughout the morning - Mrs Church, Ms Durston and our very own Mrs Moore.  Our Primary 7 classes came to hear us perform our repertoire at the end of the morning session.  We had a wonderful opportunity of playing alongside more experienced orchestral players.

Many thanks to Ballymena Academy for visiting us and encouraging us in the development of our ensemble playing.

We certainly had a day to remember!
