  • CHOIR - GLENARM CASTLE

    Tue 30 May 2017

    On Saturday night, 19 members of our school choir performed at a "Hits from the Musicals" concert at Glenarm Castle. 

    The children joined with 7 other primary schools to sing well known pieces including "Over the Rainbow" and selections from "Oliver" and "The Sound of Music".

    The EA's Northern Region's Youth Orchestra conducted by Mr Clifford Lowry performed popular pieces and the evening's compere was Claire McCollum from the BBC. The evening was enjoyed by a large audience, including many of our own parents, in the beautiful grounds of the castle.

     

  • DUCKS

    Everyone at school, and all our visitors are very taken with our furry residents.  They are getting so big, and are quite spoilt, now running to the windows for food when they see anyone approach.  The children are having so much enjoyment having them at school, seeing them grow and watching their progress every day.

    Congratulations to all our P7 pupils who have performed  "Robin Hood" for friends and family.   They have worked very hard towards their final play for Antrim PS and we are incredibly proud of them all  heartsmiley
  • PTA SUMMER FAIR

    Friday evening was a huge success.  Thank you to staff and parents for all their hard work and making it possible, and also to all those who attended.  A fantastic amount of £2240 was raised for school funds.  Again thank you for your continued support.frown
  • WIG WEDNESDAY - LIDL

    The P6 dancers were invited to Lidl to perform at their Wig Wednesday, Clic Sargent charity launch.  Pupils performed in store for Lidl customers and received a great reception.  The girls were presented with party bags.
  • M & M THEATRICAL PRODUCTIONS

    On Monday school welcomed M & M Theatrical Productions who treated the P1-P5 pupils to a performance of "Charlotte's Web".  P7 pupils also gained a few tips for their own performances of Robin Hood!!nosmiley
  • SPECSAVERS

    PTA member Mr Paul Dixon was invited to Specsavers at Castle Mall Antrim, to collect on behave of school a cheque for £150.00.  This generous donation towards school funds was raffled at our summer fair  Also photographed are pupils Hannah Dixon, Emma Dixon and Libby Thompson.
  • CRICKET TEAM

    On Wednesday 17th May the cricket team travelled to Muckamore Cricket Club to take part in the Newtownabbey and Antrim area outdoor competition.  The team played against a number of local primary schools.  With over 400 runs and 40 wickets the team were victorious and have now qualified for the NI Finals at Stormont on 15th June.  Well done everyone!!no

    Twenty P7 pupils enjoyed their residential last week at Carrowmena.  We were extremely fortunate with fabulous weather, perfect for outdoor activities such as canoeing and climbing. A wonderful time was had by all! laughfrown 

  • EARLY BIRD CLUB

    This term school started a new Early Bird Club.   This is an early drop off provision, operating daily from 8:00am - 8:40am.  There are a number of places still available, if you are interested please contact the school office.
