  A number of year groups have enjoyed catching up with our Shared Education partners St Comgall’s PS, with P4 also enjoying a trip to Valley Play Park at Newtownabbey.

  A number of year groups have enjoyed catching up with our Shared Education partners St Comgall’s PS. Pupils have participated in a range of activities in the local Antrim area.

  

• HM QUEEN ELIZABETH II

  Well done to P5 pupils who made the most beautiful cards during the recent national mourning for HM Queen Elizabeth II. Special thanks to Mrs Brooks, who on behalf of everyone at Antrim PS added their work to the many floral tributes for Her Majesty at Green Park.

  

• SCIENCE SHOW

  P6 and P7 enjoyed a Cool Vibrations science Show with Bat ecology on Thursday afternoon. The show involved pupils making tuning forks and coat hangers 'sing' and constructing sound amplifiers. They were also shown how to make a bat box from a plank of wood and look at equipment used to survey bats in the field.

  

• BOOK OF CONDOLENCE

  On Friday morning 3 of our P7 pupils Erin Boyle, Hallie Matthews and Jack Patton from the School Council went to Antrim Castle Gardens to sign the book of condolence which has been opened in memory of Her Majesty The Queen, Elizabeth II, who sadly passed away on 8th September 2022. They also laid a bunch of flowers on behalf of all the pupils and staff in Antrim Primary.

  

• TRAMPOLINE CHALLENGE CUP

  Congratulations – to P7 pupil Ava McLaughlin who recently took part in the Trampoline Challenge Cup 2022 Ava competed in the 9-10 level One category, finishing very strongly in a tough field. We wish her continued success in the future.

• ACTIVITY NI SCIENCE CLUB

  Our children have enjoyed their first session of their Science Afterschool club with Activity NI. They got to make slime which they all really enjoyed.
