    Wed 01 Mar 2017

The musicians and choir members of Antrim Primary School have attended and been most successful at Ballymena Festival of Music recently.

The school string quartet competed in Class 163- quartet for strings in primary schools.  They were awarded third place for their rendition of " Marco Takes A Walk".

On Monday 27th February Mrs Moore and her P4 class competed in Class 6 Primary School Choirs - Key Stage 1 and were awarded first prize - The Dinsmore trophy.  They sang "Pitter Patter Caterpillar" and "We Thank You Lord".  Mrs Rosemary Basher (Joshua's granny) accompanied the P4 choir and Mrs Moore conducted.

That same afternoon the school choir competed in class 3B and was placed first with a score of 87 marks - a distinction!  The choir sang so very well, Mrs Reed conducted and Mrs Moore accompanied.  They sang "Give me Wings" by John Rutter and "Firefly"  by Andy Beck.

If you would like to hear all the musicians and singers come along to our Spring Concert on Tuesday 21st March at 7:30pm for an evening of music, song and celebration!
