'Start Right to Shine Bright'

Term 1

Numeracy in Term 1.

We finished Term 1 with a trip to the pantomime. We saw Robin Hood. No we didn’t, yes we did!!!! We went on a bus, had our snack there and watched the show. It was super fun.

All P1 classes had a Christmas party. We had Christmas music and played party games. What a fantastic time. Of course we finished our day with some party food. Brilliant! 🎄

There was great excitement. Santa came to Antrim Primary and we all got a gift. We got our photograph taken with him.

We were the donkeys in our Christmas assembly. We sang our song, said our poem and did our dance. Mrs Hutchinson said we were terrific and our parents thought so too. Look at us ready for the stage.

We went for a walk to the nearby housing development. We looked at different types of houses - detached homes, semi-detached homes and townhouses. We even saw where our dinner supervisor lived. She wasn’t in, but we saw the Christmas tree outside her house.

Our topic this term was “Homes. “ We painted the Three Little Pigs when we looked at the materials used for different types of homes.

As part of Anti Bullying Week we wore odd socks and then we designed odd socks. What do you think of our designs?

We had fun with our friends at St Comgall’s as part of our Shared Education Programme.

We made spiders out of plasticine. What budding sculptors!

We all got a pumpkin from Clarke’s Pumpkin Patch. We all said, “Thank you.”

We made a pictogram of the eye colours in Room 4. We coloured our eyes, then took them to the hall and made them into a pictogram.

We went to Castle Gardens to see autumnal changes. We walked through Castle Mall, but had no time to shop. We had a snack in Castle Gardens and then looked for lots of autumnal changes. We were exhausted when we returned to school P1 is great fun but very tiring.😁

We went outside and collected leaves. When we came inside, we did leaf rubbings, in autumnal colours.

Art- Special people have special names. We loved decorating our names 😊
