  • SUMMER FAIR

    PTA Summer Fair - We had a great night on Friday at the fair, thankfully it stayed dry. Thank you to all the businesses, local vendors, stall holders and parents for donations and raffle prizes.

  • PRIMARY SCIENCE TEACHER AWARD

    On Wednesday evening, Mr McBride received his Primary Science Teacher Award in Birmingham, accompanied by Mr Gourley. Mr McBride was inducted into the College as a Fellow of the Primary Science Teaching Trust. We as a school look forward to working with the PSTT to further develop and enhance the delivery of practical science in our classrooms.

    We had a brilliant day today, celebrating all the 'Take 5' activities we have completed during the year. P1-P3 enjoyed their 'Fun Sports Day'. P4 - P7 took part in Team Games, Hyrox and Mindful Movement activities. Huge thanks to Mrs McPherson for organizing the Team Games, the ladies from Transform Gym for the Hyrox, and Mrs McCabe from Sola Studios who led the Mindful Movement sessions. We are so thankful to have such amazing support from our community, and the children all really enjoyed their day.

    Congratulations our staff and PTA members Mrs Cardwell, Mrs Carroll, Mr Gooderham,Mr Hill, Mrs McCabe and Mrs Wilson, who bravely volunteered to abseil down the Europa Hotel, Belfast on Sunday to raise funds for school. Thank you to everyone who generously donated, your support is very much appreciated.

  • BEAT THE LIBRARIAN

    We were absolutely delighted to hear that our Primary 4 pupils were crowned the overall winners of the 'Beat the Librarian Challenge' in partnership with Antrim Town Library, successfully beating the librarians! This group read over an incredible 300 books, showing great enthusiasm, dedication and a real love of reading. We were also thrilled to have several other groups achieve places within the top five.  To celebrate their success, Sophie from Antrim Town Library visited school to present prizes and a very special trophy to our winning pupils Bobby, Matilda, Thomas, Ross. They were delighted to receive recognition for their hard work and commitment.  A huge well done to everyone who took part. We are incredibly proud of our pupils and the enthusiasm they showed throughout the challenge. Keep up the great reading!

    We are delighted to celebrate being recognised as a 'Take 5 School' and have achieved our level 2 accreditation. 

    This achievement reflects our ongoing commitment to promoting positive wellbeing for children, staff and families through:

    -giving.

    We will continue to build on this next year.
