'Start Right to Shine Bright'

Term 2

Today we made a THAUMATROPE.

It is a circle with a different picture on each side. When you spin it quickly, the pictures seem to combine. The thaumatrope was invented in 1825 and was a popular toy.

We really enjoyed the team games during Playsport today. Ross was our champion Goalie and Jessica, our champion striker!!!! WELL DONE

We really enjoyed talking and writing about our favourite toy from home. We read our writing to the class and enjoyed hearing the names of toys and where they came from. Some children bought their toys and some toys were a gift. In the afternoon we sketched our toy and used oil pastels to colour.

We played a really tricky game - we had to listen to the instruction - and do the opposite!! Matilda won - well done laugh

We enjoy playing games when learning about timeā°

Tens and Units - We are learning to add 2 digit numbers using dienes apparatus.

Toys topic - Activity Based Learning

The RSPB's Big Garden Birdwatch

We really enjoyed our Playsport session today - we started with ball skills then played games and scored goals!
