    Congratulations to APS pupil Willow Hamilton who has won the NATIONAL CHAMPION title for her lyrical duet.

    The girls recently travelled to Blackpool with local dance school Freedom Dance Company, to compete against over 25 other dance schools from across the UK and Ireland, at the Dance Inspirations National Final.

    What a fantastic achievement, well done girls.

  • PARKHALL INTERGRATED COLLEGE PRIZE WINNER

    Congratulations to P7 pupil Amelia McKay who won her prize after entering a quiz at Parkhall Integrated College open night last week. She received her prize today in school from Mr. Owen, the principal of Parkhall Integrated College. Well done Amelia.

  • CROSS COUNTRY

    On Monday the Cross Country team travelled to Ballyclare for the third round of the Flavahans XC series. We were delighted to have Matthew Duddy back on the squad following injury, who gave his all, performing really well in the boys’ race. Amazing performances again from Thomas Lee, Marley Neal and Will Kelly helped ensure a 3rd place for the boys’ team out of 17 teams - a fantastic achievement! The girls also performed well, finishing

    in 7th position out of 15 teams. The children all showed fantastic determination and were a great encouragement to each other. Thanks also to all the parents who came to support!

     

  • CHESS TOURNAMENT

    Congratulations to P7 pupil Advait, who represented Antrim PS at a recent chess tournament at Methody College. Advait won 2 trophies, one for solving the most chess puzzles and a second trophy for coming first in his year group for playing chess. Advait was the only chess player from a primary school to rank in the top 10 for playing chess at the tournament. Well done Advait!

    This week we commenced our child friendly programme Speak out. Stay safe. with the NSPCC which aims to help children understand abuse in all its forms and to recognise the signs of abuse. Children are taught to speak out if they are worried, either to a safe adult or Childline.

  • BOYS FOOTBALL

    The football squad travelled to Allen Park on Thursday for their opening matches of the new PS Football League. The boys got of to a great start securing three wins, as well as keeping three clean sheets. Very well done to the squad Rory Beattie, Harry Crane, Alfie Donnelly, Matthew Duddy, William Greene, Will Kelly, Leo Mahoney, Sam McCombe, Olly Pugh and Carter Rogers.
