• P4 ACTIVITY BASED LEARNING

  Room 18 have been learning about weather in their topic. They have been enjoying activity-based learning sessions. They have been making satellites from K-Nex, presenting the weather forecast, designing wind twirlers, completing research from their topic box and playing with arctic animals their small world group. They have had great fun!

  We enjoyed a wonderful night at our quiz and raised £254.50. Thank you to everyone who came out to support school and have fun.  Special mention to all our PTA volunteers who work so hard to organise these events - it is very much appreciated.

  

• WORLD BOOK DAY

  Congratulations to all our wooden spoon competition  winners, who received their prizes in assembly.  Special mention to our guests Tim Bailie and Marianne McShane for making World Book Day  extra special.

  

• BOYS FOOTBALL

  Well done to the school football squad who secured maximum points for the league table yesterday. The boys won all three of their matches at Allen Park with some great goals. Keep it up boys!

  

• WORLD BOOK DAY

  Thank you to all our children and staff who celebrated World Book Day by coming to school dressed in their pyjamas/onesies. We had a fun day, enjoyed by all.

  

• ULSTER QUALIFIERS

  Congratulations to the boys' and girls' hockey teams on their recent success at the Ulster Qualifiers. The boys have qualified for the Ulster Finals, finishing in first place overall. The girls finished third, narrowly missing out on qualification. Well done to all involved and thanks to Ulster Hockey for organising a fantastic tournament.

• ULSTER SCOTS

  Shirlie from the Ulster Scots Agency was in school again this week. She was teaching the P1 children some Ulster Scots language about the farm (their new topic!) They did some songs, rhymes and they read "Fergie and Freens oan tha fairm.”

  

• BOYS CROSS COUNTRY

  Today our boys' cross country squad headed to the Flahavan’s School League Finals at Mallusk. It was an amazing achievement for the boys to qualify, and they all gave their best. The rest of the squad were delighted to be there to support them, and to celebrate the end of a successful season. Huge thanks to Steven Neeson for sponsoring our lovely new kit this year, and for the fantastic photographs from all our races. Thanks also to Christine Neal for the photographs today.
