VIKING VISIT
Tue 23 Nov 2021The P6 year group were very fortunate to have a visit from two of our school parents today. Mr & Mrs Stewart gave the pupils an excellent talk all about the history of the Vikings and their way of life. The children also had the opportunity to see and touch some of the tools and weapons that the Vikings would have used. Many thanks to Mr & Mrs Stewart for coming to see us on Tuesday.

SANTA MILE
Mon 22 Nov 2021We are excited that Antrim PS will take part in NI Does the Daily Mile Santa Run. To celebrate the positive benefits of daily activity, pupils will join the rest of Northern Ireland and do their daily mile with the Santa Run on Friday 3rd December. Pupils are welcome to wear their Santa hats for the occasion.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ELLIE
Fri 19 Nov 2021Congratulations to P5 pupil Ellie Brownlee who has raised an incredible £5000 for MacMillan Cancer. For the month of October, Ellie set herself a challenge of walking 10,000 steps every day while fundraising for a very worthy cause. What a star you are Ellie, we are super proud of you!

ODD SOCK DAY
Fri 19 Nov 2021We had an 'Odd Socks Day' on Friday 19th November to support Anti Bullying week. It was an opportunity for children to express their individuality. We had a wonderful show of bright coloured socks on display.

MATHS WEEK
Mon 08 Nov 2021Maths Week is an annual event organised to encourage and enhance a positive attitude towards learning maths. All of our pupils enjoyed the event on 18th – 24th October. The children took part in lots of exciting maths challenges throughout the week.

FUN WITH DRUMS
Mon 01 Nov 2021All of our P4 pupils got to have some fun this morning with drums. Fun with Drums started the first of 6 sessions with the children today. They all had great fun and played a variety of different tunes.

AUTUMN ART COMPETITION
Thu 21 Oct 2021Thank you to everyone who entered our Autumn Art Competition, we received some wonderful entries, picking winners was very tough! Congratulations to P6 pupil Sophie Fulton who won 1st place and runner up P4 pupil Lydia McMaster. Jacob Henry won 1st place for the P1 competition with Reid Faulkner and Ellie Kane sharing the runner up prize. Our 1st prize winners each received a £10 gift voucher and runners up a £5 gift voucher.

P7 ORCHESTRA
Wed 20 Oct 2021We are delighted that our P7 orchestra has been able to meet again, and have had a few practices. They have been playing "The Skye Boat Song" and "Annie's Song". It is lovely to hear them play together on a Tuesday afternoon.

JASON PARK
Tue 19 Oct 2021Congratulations to P7 pupil Jason Park who recently celebrated more success at kart racing. Jason came 2nd in Round 5 of the NI Karting Championship and also 2nd in Round 5 of the Ulster Karting Championship. Well done Jason!
