• CROSS COUNTRY AT STORMONT

  The school’s athletics teams have been very busy recently competing at both Antrim Forum and Stormont. We are very fortunate at APS to have so many talented pupils. A great team effort, congratulations to all our athletes, we look forward to seeing them compete in other competitions this year. Thank you to all friends and family who made the trip to support both events.

  

• DIGITAL GENIUS

  On Monday morning the Digital Genius team held an assembly for pupils on internet safety.  The P7 team shared information about how to make the correct choices online and consent in a digital world.  The Digital Genius team worked hard putting together a Powerpoint suitable for their peers, that included a 'Permission Mission' quiz to accentuate the importance of online safety.

• PTA STARBUCKS QUIZ

  Thank you to everyone who braved the cold and came out to support school at the recent PTA Starbucks Quiz.  A great night was had by all, raising £182.10 for school finds.

  

• BIG SCHOOL BIRD WATCH

  Pupils have enjoyed taking part in the Big School Bird Watch this week in our school grounds. They saw many kinds of birds and had fun leaning all the different species.

  

• PARENT WORKSHOPS

• P1 2019 ADMISSIONS UPDATE

  We understand that there have been a number of issues with the Education Authority online application process.  If you are struggling to access the online application form, a hard copy is available from the school office on request.

• P1 ADMISSIONS - SEPTEMBER 2019

  The online portal for P1 applications will open on Wednesday 2nd January 2019.  If you have a child due to start school in September 2019 please log on to www.eani.org.uk/admissions.  We will provide support on Tuesday 8th January from 2:15pm - 5:00pm in Room 5 to anyone who feels they would like assistance to complete the online application.  Closing date for applications is Thursday 31st January at 12 midnight.

  

• ULSTER RUGBY

  Well done to P7 pupils EUAN ROBERTS and FREDDIE THORNTON who recently showed off their rugby skills at the Kingspan Stadium.  Both boys, who play for Randalstown Rugby Club had the opportunity to enjoy some pitch time during the half time break.
