  Our fluffy residents are getting so big.  They made the most of the recent heavy rain, taking the opportunity to have a swim.  The children are enjoying watching our new family grow.

  

• ANTRIM HOCKEY CLUB

  Congratulations to pupils Alice Cardwell, Ruby Hyndman, Tegan MacDonald, Gemma McMeekin and Emily Wray who all represented Antrim Hockey Club U9 Girls at the recent Antrim Sixes Tournament held at Antrim Forum.  This talented bunch, who also represent Antrim PS at local competitions won first place in their group.  Very well done girls, plenty more to come!

  

• HOCKEY

  Congratulations to the boys hockey team Calum Campbell, Lewis Clark, Owen Creighton, Caleb McClean, Paddy Roberts, Euan Roberts and Freddie Thornton who won the cup at the Antrim Sixes hockey tournament on Friday.  The team has had a successful year and this was a much deserved win to end their season at primary school.

   

  The boys had a busy weekend also representing Antrim Hockey Club in the U11 section.  Along with P6 pupil Jason Hefferon they finished runners-up after a penalty shoot out in the final.  Well done boys!

• ALADDIN

  Well done to our P7 pupils who all starred in the school production of Aladdin. Special thanks to all those family and friends, who supported the pupils and staff in their hard work to make it all come together.  Congratulations to everyone for the excellent performances.  Thank you also to Mr Pat McGuigan for his photography of the amazing cast.

  

• GLENARM CASTLE

  On Saturday evening 19 of our Choir members were part of a 220 strong chorus in a concert at Glenarm Castle.  "Strictly Classical at the Castle" also featured the EA Northern Region Orchestra conducted by Mr Clifford Lowry.  Thank you to the children who performed so well and the many parents who came along to support.  A wonderful evening of music, in beautiful surroundings, was enjoyed by all!

  

• P2 SHARED EDUCATION CELEBRATION DAY

  Thank you to friends and family who came to school to support the P2 pupils enjoy their Celebration Day with their St Comgall's PS buddies.  What a lovely morning enjoyed by everyone

  

• ROYAL WEDDING HRH PRINCE HARRY

  As part of the Royal Wedding celebrations Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council agreed to present a commemorative medal to all P7 pupils within the Borough.  A reception was hosted by the The Lord Lieutenant for County Antrim Mrs Joan Christie CVO OBE and the Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Paul Hamill at the Old Courthouse. Pupils Christopher Collier and Finn Lockington represented P7 and collected the medals on behalf of Antrim PS.
