Sports Day June 2017

BURNS SOCCER SCHOOL
Fri 16 Jun 2017Throughout the year we have enjoyed having Mark from Burns Soccer School in Antrim PS. Burns Soccer are top qualified coaches who have introduced pupils to soccer skills, to improve health and fitness. This aims to develop young athletes technically and mentally, giving children the best opportunity possible to progress in football. -
LIBBIE THOMPSON
Fri 16 Jun 2017Well done to P6 pupil Libbie Thomspon who came 2nd girl overall in the Antrim and Newtownabbey Primary Triathlon. Libbie was presented with her medal in class this week. Antrim PS also finished 2nd overall. What a great achievement for both Libbie and our school! -
RDS PRIMARY SCIENCE FAIR
Wed 14 Jun 2017A team of 6 pupils attended the RDS Primary Science Fair held last week at the Waterfront, Belfast. The children exhibited their science project at the fair and represented school very well. Well done to Bradley Close, Grace Connolly, Owen Creighton, Lexi Dawson, Faith Steen and Erin Waring. -

Fri 02 Jun 2017Calling all cowboys and cowgirls, the PTA are hosting a FREE leavers Hoedown disco at the Antrim Primary Saloon on Thursday 22nd June. Please let school know if you have any special dietary requirements. A tuck shop will also be available. -
CHOIR - GLENARM CASTLE
Tue 30 May 2017On Saturday night, 19 members of our school choir performed at a "Hits from the Musicals" concert at Glenarm Castle.
The children joined with 7 other primary schools to sing well known pieces including "Over the Rainbow" and selections from "Oliver" and "The Sound of Music".
The EA's Northern Region's Youth Orchestra conducted by Mr Clifford Lowry performed popular pieces and the evening's compere was Claire McCollum from the BBC. The evening was enjoyed by a large audience, including many of our own parents, in the beautiful grounds of the castle.
