    Congratulations to P6 pupil Advait Tahmankar who represented Antrim PS recently at the Children’s Chess Awards held at Stormont. Advait was selected to play after securing 4th place in The Belfast Scholastic Shield. The junior awards celebrate young people who have excelled at chess, well done Advait.

    Mrs Cardwell's class have been enjoying taking part in activities from the 'Shaken' program, led by Chris Boucher. They have been learning about lots of healthy ways to handle the stresses of life, particularly some of the challenges they will face as they move on to their next school.

  • 70TH CELEBRATIONS

    Today we enjoyed a wonderful day of celebrating 70 years of Antrim PS. Well done to all those who took part in our fancy dress, we had some fantastic outfits on show. Pupils were also treated today to a party themed lunch and an ice cream van visit to school.

     

  • ORIENTEERING

    Well done to our children and parents who completed orienteering in Antrim Castle Gardens yesterday evening. We were so pleased to see over 40 of our pupils navigating with maps to find the orange flags. It was lovely to see the big smiles at the finish line. A very memorable evening, thank you to those who came along.

  • ROOM 21 HILLSBOROUGH CASTLE VISIT

    Mrs Hasson’s P6 class were treated to a visit on Hillsborough Castle and Gardens yesterday. Pupils got to explore Hillsborough Castle’s role as a family home, as well as in the political realm, from the 18th to the 21st centuries.

  • P4 ULSTER MUSEUM TRIP

    P4 had a fabulous day at The Ulster Museum on Tuesday. They looked at paintings by John Lavery and learned about his life. Keith the artist gave us a lesson in painting with watercolours just like Lavery and they copied one of his seascapes. In the history room they had a fantastic time playing and dressing up!

  • SCIENCE BLAST

    Well done to Room 12 for taking part in the ESB Science Blast. The children presented their experiment, studying the power of toothpaste when tackling coffee stains. The judges were very impressed with their work, commenting on their knowledge, skills and enthusiasm.
