P4 ULSTER MUSEUM TRIP
Wed 05 Jun 2024P4 had a fabulous day at The Ulster Museum on Tuesday. They looked at paintings by John Lavery and learned about his life. Keith the artist gave us a lesson in painting with watercolours just like Lavery and they copied one of his seascapes. In the history room they had a fantastic time playing and dressing up!

SCIENCE BLAST
Wed 05 Jun 2024Well done to Room 12 for taking part in the ESB Science Blast. The children presented their experiment, studying the power of toothpaste when tackling coffee stains. The judges were very impressed with their work, commenting on their knowledge, skills and enthusiasm.

UFU ART COMPETITION
Mon 03 Jun 2024Charlie came second in the Ulster Farmers Union Art competition. Heather from UFU, presented him with an apple tree , a £100 cheque for school, and a £20 cheque for Charlie. We are all so proud of him, and his fantastic art work for the competition.

ANTRIM FIRE STATION
Fri 31 May 2024On Thursday we were delighted to welcome firefighters from Antrim Depot who spoke with P5 children about the dangers of fire in the home. They also gave advice about how to keep ourselves and our families safe.

WONKA
Thu 30 May 2024We had a fantastic production of Wonka this week by P7. Thank you to all family and friends who came to support P7 pupils and staff on their excellent performances this week. Again, congratulations to everyone involved, we are extremely proud of them all.

Thu 30 May 2024Congratulations to former pupil Josh Rock who won the Dutch Darts Championship at the weekend to secure his first European Tour title.

CROSS COUNTRY
Thu 30 May 2024After her success with the school cross country races through the year Evie started her years programme with Athletics NI after qualifying in the Top 20 primary school children in Northern Ireland, which give her the chance to join the Athletics NI Endurance Squad. The first session was at Mary Peter’s Track. We wish her all the best.

A huge congratulations to all of the boys who have represented school throughout the season. Their hard work and dedication has paid off! The focus of the team now turns to the Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Primary Schools’ Cup, that is due to take place in June.
