A huge congratulations to all of the boys who have represented school throughout the season. Their hard work and dedication has paid off! The focus of the team now turns to the Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Primary Schools’ Cup, that is due to take place in June.

Thu 23 May 2024Crazy Hair Day was brilliant!! Look at the amazing colourful, crazy and wacky hairstyles we had.

CASTLE GARDENS VISIT
Wed 22 May 2024P4 went on a walk with the Castle Grounds Rangers. They played in the sensory garden, looked at minibeasts in the river, did birdwatching and walked through the underground tunnel. The highlight was seeing a pair of kingfishers flying together up the river.

YOUTH FOR HOPE MINISTRIES ASSEMBLY
Fri 17 May 2024P4-P7 had an assembly on Monday with Colin Tinsley from Youth for Hope Ministries. The theme was joy. The children thoroughly enjoyed it.

ORIENTEERING
Fri 10 May 2024P3 and P4 classes are having some orienteering lessons from Miss Reed. Orienteering involves reading maps. First the children used picture maps and then were given a map of the school grounds to follow and try to find the X! This was tricky but great fun!

SPEECH & DRAMA FESTIVAL WINNER
Tue 07 May 2024Congratulations to Conor won four classes in the recent Coleraine Speech and Drama festival - P5 boys set poem, P5 favourite poem, P5 Roald Dahl prose, and Junior prizewinners, . At the final evening, Conor was awarded the Junior Festival Cup for the best performance in classes for under 11 years old and he performed his highest mark poem "The Killer Underpants" by Michael Lawrence. Well done from everyone at school.

THE SECRET GARDEN
Fri 03 May 2024As part of our 70th Anniversary celebrations, all year groups were treated to a surprise visit from M&M Theatrical Productions who delivered a magical production of 'The Secret Garden'. We are always delighted to welcome back M&M Productions; their wonderful vibrant shows are enjoyed by pupils and staff alike.
