Fri 12 May 2023P3 had a wonderful time at W5 yesterday. They got to enjoy the interactive science activites and go to soft play.

CORNONATION POEM
Fri 12 May 2023We were absolutely delighted with the number of poems which were entered into our special Coronation poetry competition. as you can imagine, it was extremely hard to choose the overall winners, but every child's poem was celebrated, and all entrants received a Coronation pencil. A huge well done to everyone who took part! We hope to send the winning poems to the palace over the next couple of weeks.

CHARLEY SKELTON
Fri 12 May 2023Well Done – to P7 pupil Charley Skelton who was selected from hundreds of auditions as a live finalist for the Downtown Radio Star of the Show. Charley is a member of the Freedom Dance Company and got to perform at the Balmoral Show on Wednesday. Well done Charley, we are so proud of you!

CORONATION CELEBRATIONS
Fri 05 May 2023We had a great day celebrating the Coronation Of King Charles. We watched a production of The Hobbit, had an ice cream from Milk Cloud and dressed up in Royal theme. It was a lovely way to celebrate this momentous event.

P1 STREAMVALE TRIP
Thu 04 May 2023P1 had a fantastic day at Streamvale Farm on Tuseday. They got to milk Buttercup the cow, feed the animals and have a tractor ride.

ZOO TRP
Thu 04 May 2023P2 had a great day at the Zoo on Wednesday. The children got to see the giraffes, penguins and to hold a snake. The weather stayed dry and the children all had a fantastic day.

CORONATION POEM
Thu 04 May 2023Look at all the wonderful poems we have received so far for our Coronation poetry competition. We have been delighted by the standard of writing across all age groups. Thank you for the hard work that has been put in at home. We hope to announce winners next week. All participants will also receive a small prize for their hard work.

FOREST SCHOOLS
Wed 03 May 2023On Wednesday morning, pupils from Room 12 took part in a Forest Schools lesson. This was in partnership with Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council and Northern Ireland Forest School Assosciation. Pupils had a lot of fun learning about animals and habitats and enjoyed creating maps of Antrim using leaves, sticks and flowers. Thanks to Brian Poots for leading the session, we llok forward to the next session in a few weeks time.

ABRSM MUSIC EXAMS
Fri 28 Apr 2023Congratulations to our pupils who received their ABRSM music exam certificates in assembly today. This is a fantastic achievement. Well done to Rebecca Bell, Danni Bones, Aijia Guo, Laura Kitson, James Lee, Sophie Wray and Jamie Yin!

CORONATION TREE
Tue 25 Apr 2023On Tuesday a number of P7 pupils planted a Coronation Tree on the school grounds. This was in partnership with Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council. The Deputy Mayor, Councillor Leah Smyth, assisted with the planting and presented the pupils with a trowel and wildflower pack. In addition to this, all pupils will receive a special commemorative item from the Council.
