  • POSITIVI-TREE

    As a school we have been working on improving our positive mental health. We have been talking about self-praise and a positive, healthy mind. Each child in our school wrote a positive affirmation about themselves on a leaf. The leaves were then added to our positivity tree, “Positivi-Tree.” It is a nice reminder for the children when they pass the tree, of all the great things that they said about themselves.

    This week we said goodbye to Mrs Apsley who has been with us for 14 years and Mrs Gould who has been with us for a few months. We wish you both all the best for your future.

  • PTA- NAME THE BEAR

    The PTA is running a “Name the Bear” competition for Halloween. It is 50p per guess, starting Monday 17th October and will be drawn before half term.

  • NSPCC ASSEMBLY

    The children had their NSPCC’s Speak out Stay safe  online assembly this week. Speak out Stay safe is a safeguarding programme available to all primary schools in the UK and Channel Islands. It aims to help children understand abuse in all its forms and to recognise the signs of abuse in a child friendly way. Children are taught to speak out if they are worried, either to a trusted adult or Childline. In the online assembly, the Speak out. Stay safe. messages are delivered in a fun and interactive way with the help of their mascot Buddy as well as special guest appearances from Ant and Dec.

  • CROSS COUNTRY

    Antrim Primary Cross Country Runners took part in their first competition of this academic year. The race took part at Antrim Forum. 18 children represented our school. They all did well and showed great sportsmanship. Evie Fawcett finished in 4th place in the girls' event. All of the children achieved great times, and showed great dedication. Well done to everyone!

    P6 Room 7 went to The Castle Gardens with our shared education partners St Comgall's this week and made art pictures based on the natural world, inspired by Andy Goldsworthy.

  • P4 SHARED EDUCATION

    The P4 Children really enjoyed their time in St Comgall's this week, they got to learn some Spanish phrases and colours through songs and dance. The children have been signing them for the rest of the day.

  • P3 SHARED EDUCATION

    P3 enjoyed a getting to know you activity last week and a nature walk with our Shared Education partners St Comgall's in the Castle Gardens this week. They did a scavenger hunt and made nature pictures from the items they collected on their walk.
