    Last week we were privileged to have the wonderful author Marianne McShane visit school for World Book Day. Pupils thoroughly enjoyed listening and interacting with Marianne, we look forward to a return visit to school again.

    Well done to P7 pupils Abigail Molloy and Daniel Boucher who represented APS on Thursday at Mallusk Playing Fields for the Flahavan's Primary Schools Cross Country Final. Both runners ran great races. Thank you to friends and family who made the trip to support both Abigail and Daniel.

    Well done to everyone who took part in the competition.  We had a fantastic response and were very impressed with the hard work and talent entered.     Thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate World Book Day by coming to school dressed in their pyjamas/onesies, a fun day which was enjoyed by everyone.

    Congratulations to P5 pupil Jamie Yin who came first in the Junior Section of the Boys' Brigade music competition in Northern Ireland for playing the piano. Well done Jamie!

  • AR MILLIONAIRES

    The children in Antrim Primary are making excellent progress with Accelerated Reading.  We have 32 millionaires.  Max Mahoney in P6 has read an amazing 4 million words!  2 children in P5 have read 1 million words, Leah Clarke and Lewis Boyle.  6 children have read over 3 million words with lots of children moving up points.

    11 children have reached over 400 points.  Well done to everyone and keep up the reading.

  • CHESS COMPETITION WINNER

    Congratulations to P4 pupil Advait Tahmankar. He won a chess competition at Methodist College. He was first in the P4 and under category. Well done Advait!

  • BIG SCHOOL BIRDWATCH

    The children had great fun spotting birds outside this week and completing lots of related activities.

  • P1 ADMISSIONS 2022-2023

    The key dates for admissions to primary school are confirmed with applications for admission to Primary One opening on Monday 10th January 2022 at 12:00 noon. More information on the admissions process will be available over the coming weeks. We are trying to reach as many families as possible with this important information. So, if you know of any families with children who are eligible to enrol in primary in September 2022 please share this information with them if you can. In addition, if you would like more detail on the processes involved please visit the Education Authority’s at https://www.eani.org.uk/admissions.  

     

    Please note places are not allocated on a first come, first served basis, and applications will only be considered after the closing date. 

     

    Admission criteria is now live, please ensure you list ALL relevant critera on your application.

     

    We can provide support to anyone who feels they would like assistance to complete their application online. Please see the attached admissions information or contact the school office.
