  • ULSTER SCOTS AGENCY

    On Tuesday we had a visitor from the Ulster-Scots Agency who spoke to the P6 classes about the history of Ulster Scots, its language, dress and demonstrated some of the dance steps in Scottish dancing.

  • WORLD KINDNESS DAY

    Kindness Day- Room 3 used an apple to show that unkind words might not change how you look on the outside but hurt our feelings inside. We said unkind things to one apple and kind things to the other. The apples changed on the inside. So we all have to be careful with our words.

  • P6 CHARITY ASSEMBLY

    Thank you to everyone for your incredible generosity and continued support. Together, we have raised an amazing total of £1250.20 to help support RNLI which we presented this morning during our special charity assembly. Well done to all P6 pupils and staff for their excellent performances for school, family and friends.

  • REMEMBRANCE DAY

    Thank you to everyone who so generously supported this year’s Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal,  we had a fabulous response.  Today, we held a minute silence, while our infant pupils lead a special assembly to mark Armistice Day.  Well done to P7 pupils Harry, Poppy and Ruby, who represented school at the annual laying of wreaths at the Cenotaph, during Sunday’s Remembrance Service.

    ODD SOCKS DAY!! Anti-Bullying week will take place 10th- 14th November with lots of activities and discussions in school focusing on prevention of bullying. As part of this we had ‘Odd Socks Day’ today, it is an opportunity for children to express their individuality

    Thank you to everyone who has already donated to RNLI, our chosen charity this year. You can continue to do so up until midnight on Thursday 13th November. All proceeds raised will be presented during our P6 Charity Assembly on Friday 14th November.

  • CROSS COUNTRY

    The cross-country team took part in the first round of the Flavahans schools’ series before half term at the Antrim Forum. Everyone ran well, and Thomas Lee put in an amazing performance, finishing 3rd in the Boys race. We are very proud of all the children, who represented our school with pride. Special thanks to Steven Neeson for his help and photographs.

    Room 8 took our infant assembly this morning which was about Harvest. They put fruit, vegetables and flowers on the harvest table, read a poem and said a prayer all related to Harvest.
